Mustang graveyard
I got a beauty in my garage
I know we don´t make that much right now
But you should´ve seen us drivin´ down the road
just a couple of years ago
A little bit of heaven here on earth
the top down and the radio on
I´d drive her straight to heaven or maybe down to hell
With the radio loud singin´ my favorite song
And when the good days will start to roll away
And we begin to believe the things that they say
And when the touch-ups and paint won´t hide the days
On the Mustang graveyard is where you´ll lay
I built her out of dirt and scratch
all night long in my Daddy´s garage
Gave her my sweat and blood until she shone
just like some kind of mirage
So many nights we´re cruisin´ `round the hood
she shone like a beacon in the night
One night I blew that Viper off my back
and then that girl jumped in and all he saw was my rear-lights
And when the good days will start to roll away ...
If comes the day that we must part
I will take you out for one last ride
I will polish you up and clean the rims
we will race and challenge the night
So on your last mile we´ll be hearin´ sweet sounds
of triumph over all we did beat
They are gettin´ smaller and then disappear
in the rearview mirror while we race down the street
And when the good days will start to roll away ...
